Blog 6: Summer Plans

 Hello girls, boys, and others,


I'm going to tell you about my plans for the summer. This summer is the last one before I finish studying psychology, or that's what I would like. So, with my girlfriend, we want to make a great trip, because after this summer we will be working permanently or so we hope hahaha.


As I had already told you in a previous blog: my dream is to go to the island of the monkeys that is in Peru, and with my girlfriend we are planning to go in February (if COVID allows us). We already bought the plane tickets to Lima, we plan to travel from that city to Pucallpa by bus, which will take us a day, and we want to stay a couple of nights there since there are beautiful places in that area. Then we would take a boat in Pucallpa to the city of Iquitos, because it is a city that is in the middle of the Amazon jungle, so it can only be reached by water or by air. Iquitos is 30 minutes from the Isla de los Monos, crossing the Nanay River and once we get to the island we plan to stay at least two days and one night there, to enjoy our days there.


As you can see, it is going to be a long trip from Lima to the island, and because of that we are working and saving all the money we can to achieve it. What gives us hope is that all the people we have talked to who have been to Peru tell us that everything is very cheap and that all prices are conversational. However, we want to save as much money as we can, for any extra expenses that may arise on the trip. So these two months that we have left we are going to work and sell things in order to reach our goal

    that trip sounds too wonderful, with some friends we had planned to go this summer to the jungle in Peru, but because of the pandemic we have no money and we will have to wait :C very much enjoys the trip

  Hello girls, boys, and others At the moment I am studying psychology, and I would like to work with children and teenagers. I would like to work in SENAME, and I know that is a really hard work to do, because the kids there suffer a lot. I am really interested in children's rights. They need help, and I think that with what I learn in my classes I can help them, because I think that mental health is really important. I think it would be mostly an indoors job, a quiet and private place is better for a good therapy, but that does not mean that you can’t do the therapy outdoors, but it depends on the case. A country I'd like to visit

 Hello! I would like visit to Perú, because in that country is the "Isla de los monos", this placeis located to 30 kmfrom Iquitos city, on the banks of Amazonas river. In this island there is a shelter to primates from Amazonas forest; the shelter protects threatened primates by poaching and by primates trafficking, besides by desforestation in the Amazon forest. Is for this that, in the "Isla de los monos": safe haven. reabilitate and sometimes  realesed primates to natural habitat. I would love can be in this place interacting with the primates and contribute with my posibilities in this beautiful work. Also I would like know other places of Perú, places that my friends recommend me visit, for example the Lago Titicaca. Perú is a country with too much beautiful places and this country habits different cultures of the that I would like learn. If I have the oportunity of spend long time in Perú I stay happy.
